Liberate San Managua II:
{ the Cigar Wars }
CHARACTERS I
There are 8 special role players:
a) General Coconut is the leader of the invading mercenaries, and General
Jobar is the leader of the local peasant militia. They are to be treated
like referees, more than as players. Follow their instructions, and don't
shoot them. They have no agenda other than to help their teams win the game.
What we know now of General Coconut is that he is of German descent -
parents having emigrated to Uruguay in the early part of April, 1945. He
has one other brother, but neither he nor his parents (who are still alive)
have seen him since the move. His father's name is Gunther Rommel, and his
mother's name is Josephine Falopian (her father discovered the reproductive
canals located in a woman's uterus, and named them after himself, the egotistical
bastard). He was named after Gunther's great uncle Cocolugala and his mother's
brother Juan, who was a nut. He was never formally trained in the art of
war, but having lived in that part of the world where revolution, drug wars
and virtually anything results in armed insurrection, he was always looking
for a little excitement. Having been involved in no fewer than 14 government
sponsored armed "actions", and countless other encounters, both
for a fee and for free, he is the second best known small action combat
leader in the southern hemisphere .
b) Wally Raleigh VI is one of the Mercs, although he is on a personal
quest - to find out more about the metal box he had heard about from his
grandfather.
His father had been a combination of an aide to the British embassies
throughout the empire and an entrepeneur. His mother had died at an early
age, so he had been raised by a series of nannies, maids, girlfriends and
an assortment of other individuals coming in and out of their household.
They had lived in a number of places, but mostly in and around the Mediterranean.
Morocco was his favorite place. His grandfather had lived an incredibly
exciting life with friends, contacts (and enemies) throughout the civilized
world. Wally had been fortunate that his grandfather had lived to a very,
very old age, and had actually sat and shared his life stories with the
young boy before his death in 1962. Wally is remarkably fit for a man in
his 50's, and seeks to model his life after his grandfather. He was once
told that he has relatives all over the world, some of whom have been described
as very powerful and influential.
c) Known only as the "UPS Guy", he is dedicated to his job
and his work to the point of fanaticism. He has an unhealthy fascination
with high caliber assault weapons and athletes foot fungus odors. During
his younger years, UPS Guy had been a supply sergeant for the US Marines.
He knew how to get stuff that others couldn't find, and knew where to get
it. Probably the only UPS driver that will deliver to the high mountainous
jungles of Central America. He doesn't really care for the cigars, but the
heat and high humidity that make the local tobacco varieties thrive also
create an incredibly hospitable environment for the spread of athletes foot
diseases. UPS Guy became close friends with Jobar after several large deliveries
to the remote, distant, dusty and hidden jungle country, and takes sides
with the locals when hostilities begin. He has come to know much about the
San Managuan people and about their cigars. But does he know too much? Can
he be trusted?
d) AJ, the Ancient Jesuit Missionary, is an "independent agent".
Born...who knows when, but somewhere in Mexico...he never knew his mother.
Raised in a middleclass area of southern Mexico by Mexican bandito whores,
the Ancient Jesuit Missionary, called "AJ" by his friends, was
home-schooled and self-taught before that term became fashionable. Except
for the training in the conservative morals of the Jesuit faith as related
to him by the whores, he had learned most of what he knew on the streets.
He used to believe that the term "poontang" was an endearing term
for mother. When his father died, he inherited his only single possession
of significance, a small metal box that his father had inherited from his
father. It was so old that "AJ" didn't know where it had come
from prior to that. He only recently figured out how to open the damned
thing. The contents surprised him, and he had contacted a friend of his
who had attended a prestigious university in France to advise him of what
to do with it. Rex was close to members of the Vatican after hooking them
up with his roommates, during one of their retreats to Mexico years ago.
