Liberate San Managua II:
{ the Cigar Wars }
SCENARIO GAME RULES I
1. Only field paint is allowed at this event. Anyone caught using any
other paint during the game will be asked to leave the event without reimbursement
of playing fees.
2. This game is a one-day event - one long game - with play scheduled to
start at 11 am and finish at 6 pm. The team with the most points at the
end of the day is declared the victor. Points are acquired by accomplishing
missions that are provided during the day by the event coordinators. The
two teams are the San Managuan peasants, and the Mercenaries. There will
also be several unaffiliated, rogue players on the field. Each team will
have an unarmed general who is protected inside of a field tent with mesh
walls. The generals are essentially non-players; their function is to receive
mission information, determine courses of action to acheive the missions,
and direct the actions of the team players to acheive the missions and accumulate
points.
3. When a player is eliminated, he/she must leave the field, but may return
during any reentry window, even a current reentry window. Reentry windows
are 5 minutes long, and occur 20 minutes apart; that is, from :00 to :05,
:20 to :25, and :40 to :45 after each hour. Players may only reenter at
one of the two reinsertion points, and only when authorized by the referee
at the insertion point.
4. When reinserting the player must walk, with gun raised and barrel plug
in, from the insertion point to one of the designated base camps. After
touching the base camp, the player may remove the barrel plug and resume
play. At that time, the player should check with the general to see if
he is needed for a mission.
5. A player is eliminated when hit anywhere on the body or equipment and
marked with paint, any time a player declares aloud "I'm Hit"
or "I'm Shot", and anytime a player leaves the field of play for
whatever reason. Also, you are eliminated any time a referee says that
you are.
6. A player may also be eliminated by "barrel tag", although touching
with the gun barrel is not required. Any time one player gets close enough
to another to touch him, the touched player is eliminated immediately.
7. The Safety Rule will not be strictly adhered to at this event. It is
recommended for safety, and out of courtesy to the other players, that when
you are within 20 feet of an opponent you offer a safety. This is especially
recommended when your opponent is a very young player. By saying "Safety"
you are offering the opponent a chance to surrender without being shot.
The opponent is not required to accept the safety.
8. When eliminated a player must put in a barrel plug or barrel condom,
and walk off the field with his/her gun pointed up. An eliminated player
may not talk, other than to declare that he or she is eliminated, so they
are not shot again while walking out.
