TEAM WORK!

(PLEASE CLICK TO ENLARGE THE PICS)

This month, there was a lot of team work and team spirit going on here in Niamey. While people in the US were cheering on their favorite team in the World Series, we were cheering our teams on at the yearly NUTS (Niamey Universal Tournament of Softball) Tournament. Teams from around West Africa came to Niger to play in a weekend long softball tournament. This year, Micah and his dad played on a team called the “Les Refechees” or “The Leftovers”. They had fun playing and learning how to work together as a team.

Maybe you play on a team; soccer, basketball, football or some other sport. Maybe you’re on a team at work, or school. Where ever it is, you have to work together to make it function, to score points or move forward on a project.
Team work can be hard, especially if you are a better player than others, have more creative ideas or more endurance. When that happens, you might be disappointed by a loss or poor grade, OR you might be a great example of what a team player really is, to others watching the game.
As Christians, we all have gifts and strengths to share. We are all part of “one body” or one team, supporting each other.

Everyone has an important part. It’s all about team work.
GO TEAM!!
