BLACK BASS ACTION COMMITTEE
'FOR GENERATIONS TO COME'

The Black Bass Action Committee (BBAC), a nonprofit public benefit corporation, was formed in August 1984 to protect, restore and enhance California's black bass fishery. The BBAC has the researched and recognized the criteria needed to meet this challenge. Today our membership continues to grow in numbers and knowledge meeting and acting on the goals as listed below:

To protect, restore and enhance our state's black bass fishery "for generations to come".
To promote "catch and release"
To maintain and operate live release boats to support the distribution and release of Black Bass
caught in tournaments, and support habitat conservation or habitat enhancement projects.
To organize and represent the concerns of Black Bass Anglers, Black Bass Clubs,
tournament circuits, businesses and communities.
To work cooperatively with all public and private individuals and organizations involved in
the management or regulation of natural resources necessary to protect, restore and
enhance the Black Bass Fishery.
To formulate and promote programs for the management of Black Bass.
To work with the State Department of Fish and Game so as to implement and further the
objectives and purposes of the Black Bass Action Committee.
To participate in political action and influence of governmental agencies and legislators
as regards to legislation and issues effecting Black Bass Management, angling, boating and other issues deemed important to or effecting the pursuit of sport fishing for Black Bass.
To encourage Black Bass Angling, Black Bass clubs, Black Bass tournaments, and ancillary business activities.
To develop and provide educational materials and programs for Black Bass fishing,
sportsmanship, and conservation.
To join with other organizations, groups, alliances, and coalitions in pursuit of the
objectives and purposes of the Black Bass Action Committee.
To foster an interest in and appreciation for Black Bass fishing among youth.

To continue to achieve our goals and protect the Black Bass fishery we need your support and assistance. Only through unity can we have the Power necessary to ensure the wise use and management of our fishery. Through the networking of Members, Affiliated Clubs, and Chapters we are streamlined to address concerns and work local issues with credible results.
